Women's & Girls' Hockey

Hockey is becoming more and more popular with populations other than men and boys. It’s always been popular with them, but many girls hockey clubs and teams have begun to appear across the U.S. making
hockey girls a reality instead of an idea in the heads of some people.

Girls and women who are attracted to the sport of hockey sometimes prefer to play in men’s leagues because they don’t like the difference in play that they notice between men’s and women’s games. The bottom line is that womens hockey is slightly different from mens hockey, and the only way to participate in one or the other is to become part of a league or a team. There is no sense in trying to make female hockey rougher or trying to make male hockey gentler; accept the differences for what they are and join the league that makes you the most comfortable.

Girls Hockey Camps

Hockey camps are just one way in which young girls are getting exposed to hockey at a young age. Since many girls are starting to go to this type of game, hockey girls are being born. Many girls and women who grew up with hockey as a men’s sport are not interested in hockey, but the girl hockey camps are allowing young girls to play hockey at a young enough age to learn to love the game early on. Ball hockey girls camps are more popular and common in the city, whereas girls ice hockey camps are particularly hard to find. There are some female leagues and clubs for girls, especially where womens ice hockey has taken off, such as in the region where the Massachusetts Spitfires girls hockey team has situated itself.

In high schools, there is a beginning of a movement to include girls ice hockey in addition to girls field hockey. At schools where there is already a team for the boys, the girls have the best chance of getting their own team. There are plenty of MN girls high school hockey teams in Minnesota cities of a large enough size. There is also, for example, West Northumberland girls hockey for those in the region.

As the trend continues, look for girls and womens hockey teams and leagues to pop up across America. Check out woman ice hockey pyongyang online to get inspired and don’t forget to leave the boy’s violence behind and make the girls’ league a better place to be and a better place to play hockey than the boys’ league.
