Hockey Pucks & Balls

If you play hockey with friends or in a relaxed league, and your hockey puck or hockey ball does not need to be exact to regulation, you might consider some of the more interesting hockey pucks & balls that are floating around nowadays. Whether you need colorful field hockey balls or you are thinking of putting stick tape all over your ice hockey puck to make it zoom across the ice in any color other than black, you can have lots of fun with this simple change to your game.

For extra fun, you can make your colored hockey pucks white. This sounds terrible at first because you want to be able to see the puck on the ice; however, it can be more than a little bit of fun when it comes to enjoying a friendly game among neighbors. Not being able to see the puck is a disadvantage, but it is a disadvantage that everyone on the ice shares. While signed hockey pucks are cool collectibles, when it comes to cool pucks on the ice, the signature doesn’t show up.

The history of hockey pucks shows them as always black in order to contrast with the ice. Though this is the case, it might just be time for a change, at least in friendly games and situations. Of course, in the NHL, colored pucks will never fly, they will always be black.

Roller Hockey Pucks

If you play roller hockey with inline skates, you probably play with a ball that is not colored. A street hockey puck that has been colored a specific color in order to identify it as part of your game or as your team’s ball can be a really cool addition to your game. A hockey stick and puck that match can be a real advantage since the opposition won’t be able to see where the ball or puck is when it’s against your stick. If you pass the puck it can not always be seen if it is the same color as the sticks. A field hockey ball that matches in color will do the same thing and you can use it to your advantage. Color your field hockey stick and ball yourself to avoid having to find a matching set through hockey puck production.

Commercial Pucks

Another fun and unique way to have your own puck is to purchase one from your favorite team. For example, New Jersey Devils official hockey pucks can be used for a friendly game among friends. The same goes for a roller hockey puck with the mascot of your favorite team on it.
